What Makes Las Vistas beach So Special?

Las Vistas beach is undeniably one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife, and it’s no wonder it’s so popular.

The beach stretches nearly a kilometer long and about 120 meters wide, offering plenty of space even during peak season.

What sets this beach apart is its Blue Flag status, a testament to its clean, fine golden sand and crystal-clear waters. It’s man-made, but the charm of Playa de Las Vistas lies in how naturally it blends into its surroundings, creating a picturesque setting that’s perfect for unwinding.

A Safe and Family-Friendly Environment

One of the things I love most about Las Vistas Beach is how family-friendly it is.

The beach is equipped with wave breakers, which means the waters here are calm, shallow, and ideal for swimming.

If you’re travelling with kids, you’ll appreciate the lifeguards who are on duty throughout the day, providing that extra layer of safety.

It’s the kind of place where you can let your children play in the water without constantly worrying, which is a huge relief on any family vacation.

Activities at Las Vistas Beach

Whether you’re looking to relax or seeking a bit of adventure, Las Vistas beachhas something for everyone.

Water Sports

For the thrill-seekers, Las Vistas beach offers a variety of water sports that you can easily access right on the beach.

You can choose to soar above the water while parasailing, race across the waves on a jet ski, or have some fun with a banana boat ride. Personally, I’m a fan of jet skiing—there’s something exhilarating about zooming across the calm waters with the warm sun on your back.

Beach Volleyball and More

If you prefer to stay on land but still want to keep active, the beach has volleyball nets set up where you can join a game or start your own.

It’s a great way to meet people or just have some fun with your travel companions.  las Vistas beach is a great beach to spent the daye playing beach volleyball, followed by a refreshing dip in the ocean—there’s nothing quite like it.

Strolling the Promenade

One of my favourite things to do after a morning on the beach is to take a leisurely stroll along the promenade.

This scenic pathway connects Las Vistas beach with the neighbouring beaches of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas.

It’s the perfect way to explore the area without needing a car or public transport. Plus, with so many restaurants, bars, and shops along the way, you’re never far from a meal or a refreshing drink.

Accessibility and Amenities

Las Vistas beachis incredibly well-equipped, making it accessible to all

The beach is surrounded by a wide array of amenities, including:

  • sunbeds
  • parasols
  • showers
  • public toilets

What’s more, Las Vistas beach is fully wheelchair-friendly. This is something I really appreciate because it means that everyone, regardless of mobility, can enjoy the beauty and relaxation this beach offers.

The beach even provides a unique service for people with reduced mobility—assisted bathing, where trained lifeguards help those in need enjoy the sea safely.

This service is available daily, and it’s completely free of charge. It’s these kinds of thoughtful touches that make Playa de Las Vistas stand out from other beaches.

Tips for Visiting Las Vistas beach

To make the most of your time at Las Vistas beach, here are a few tips from my personal experience:

  • Arrive Early: Las Vistas beach is popular for a reason, and it can get quite crowded, especially during the summer months. To secure a good spot on the beach, I recommend arriving early in the morning. Not only will you have more space to yourself, but you’ll also get to enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere before the beach fills up.
  • Parking Can Be Tricky: If you’re driving, be prepared for a bit of a challenge when it comes to parking. The beach’s popularity means that parking spots can be hard to come by, particularly during peak times. My advice? Look for parking in the nearby streets or consider using public transport to avoid the hassle altogether.
  • Take Advantage of the Promenade: Don’t just stick to the beach—take the time to explore the promenade that connects Playa de Las Vistas with other nearby beaches. It’s a great way to discover more of the area, and you’ll find plenty of interesting shops, cafes, and attractions along the way.
  • Pack your own food: While there are plenty of dining options around, I don’t find the restaurants in the area up to a decent standard. There are supermarkets nearby where you can pick up some fresh local produce, snacks, and drinks.
