Best Shopping Malls in Tenerife South

If you’re staying in the southern part of the island, you’re in luck. The south boasts some of the best shopping centres, each offering a unique blend of stores, dining options, and entertainment.

Siam Mall

Located at Av. Siam, 3, 38670 Costa Adeje, Siam Mall is my go-to place for shopping in Tenerife.

It’s the largest shopping center in the south, housing all the big Spanish clothing brands like Zara, Bershka, Mango, and Pull & Bear. With a Hiperdino supermarket (Canarian supermarket) for groceries, free parking, and a variety of eateries on an outdoor terrace, it’s a one-stop-shop for all your needs. Plus, the free shuttle bus makes it accessible even if you don’t have a car.

X-Sur Centro Comercial

Once the favourite, now overshadowed by Siam Mall, X-Sur (Calle Lisboa, 2, 38660 Adeje) still holds charm for locals. Although it lacks major brands and has fewer dining options, it’s a quieter alternative for those who prefer a more relaxed shopping experience.

Centro Comercial San Eugenio

Situated at Avda. de los Pueblos, 20, 38660 Costa Adeje, San Eugenio offers a decent selection of stores and eateries. It’s a convenient spot for quick shopping trips.

Centro Comercial Safari

A vibrant shopping centre at Av. Las Americas 5, C.C. Safari, Playa de Las Americas, 38660, Safari is known for its high-end stores and stylish ambiance. It’s perfect for those looking to indulge in a bit of luxury shopping.

Centro Comercial Plaza del Duque

For an upscale shopping experience, head to Plaza del Duque (Calle Londres, s/n, 38660 Costa Adeje). This elegant mall features high-end brands and exquisite boutiques, making it ideal for luxury shopping.

C.C Parque Santiago 6

Located at Av. de Chayofita, s/n, 38650 Arona, this is one of the newer malls in Los Cristianos. Its open-plan design is refreshing, and it’s conveniently walkable from Los Cristianos, making it a favourite among locals and tourists alike.

Markets in Tenerife South

For a more eclectic shopping experience, Tenerife’s markets are a must-visit. They offer everything from souvenirs to fresh produce, giving you a taste of local culture.

Los Cristianos Market

Held on Tuesdays and Sundays from 9 am to 2 pm, this market is a treasure trove of souvenirs, clothes, and decorations. Be prepared to haggle and watch out for pickpockets, as it gets quite crowded.

Costa Adeje Market

This market, held on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm, is similar to Los Cristianos but slightly smaller. It’s a great spot to find unique items and bargains.

Farmers' Markets

If you’re after fresh, local produce, the Arona and Adeje farmers’ markets are the places to go. Open on weekends, these markets offer everything from fruits and vegetables to local cheeses and honey.

Shopping in the North of Tenerife

The northern part of the island, especially Santa Cruz de Tenerife, also offers excellent shopping opportunities.

Centro Comercial Meridiano

This large mall is home to the only Primark in Tenerife, making it a major draw for tourists. Located in Santa Cruz, it offers a wide variety of stores and a Carrefour supermarket, perfect for all your shopping needs.

El Corte Inglés

This popular department store chain provides a free shuttle bus from the south. However, you’ll need a receipt from the store for the return trip. It’s worth the journey for its extensive range of products and brands.

Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África

For a different shopping experience, visit this famous food market in Santa Cruz. Open daily from 9 am to 2:30 pm, it offers an array of fresh produce, meats, and local delicacies.

Overall Best Shopping Malls in Tenerife

While there are many shopping venues across the island, a few stand out for their variety and convenience.

Siam Mall (Cost Adeje)

With its impressive design, variety of stores, and excellent food court, Siam Mall remains a top choice for shopping in Tenerife. The free transport from various locations in the south adds to its appeal.

Centro Comercial Meridiano (Santa Cruz de Tenerife)

Its large size and variety make it ideal for serious shoppers. The presence of Primark and other popular stores ensures you’ll find everything you need.
